Mr. Rahman, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, has held numerous leadership roles at ICAB, including Council Member, Vice President, and Chairman of several committees. In the accountancy field since 1968, he is currently the managing partner of Rahman Mostafa Alam & Co., overseeing core clients such as banks, insurance companies, and government organizations, and managing the firm’s marketing, finance, accounts, HR, and administration.
He previously served as an Accountant Member of the Taxes Appellate Tribunal and as Controller of Accounts at the General Electric Company of Bangladesh Limited (1979-1988). Mr. Rahman has also been a Director at DESCO, a Member of BWDB, and a Committee Member of RAJUK, as well as a Representative Director of Aviva Finance Ltd and Reliance Brokerage Ltd. Active in Rotary International District 3281, Bangladesh, he has held positions such as District Treasurer and Deputy Governor. Mr. Rahman founded the Mazam Ali Bhuiyan Bari Govt. Primary School and Mazam Ali Bhuiyan Bari Jame Mosque, regularly donating to various charitable organizations. He is a life member of Feni Samity Dhaka & Chottogram, Chhagalnaiya Samity Dhaka, a permanent member of Chittagong Club Ltd., and a donor member of Dhaka Public College. A seasoned traveler, he has visited over 40 countries, including the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Japan, and many more.
